What an AI agent is, and what it is not

"AI agent" is quoted today both by vendors who embed a chat widget on a general model and by vendors who connect an assistant to your systems. Similar price, different result. The difference is four things.

Answers from your content, not the internet

The agent knows your services, prices, terms and stock — not general world knowledge. When it does not know, it says so and hands over instead of inventing.

It can do things

Check an order status, book an appointment, create a CRM lead, change a delivery address — integrations with your systems, not just replies.

Your customers' language, properly

Typos, missing diacritics, colloquial phrasing — understood. Before launch we test against a list of real customer questions and fix the source, not the agent.

Data stays in the EU and stays yours

Language models and storage in EU regions, conversation history in your accounts, access under your rules. For GDPR and for your own customers' questions, this is the only acceptable answer.

AI agent prices

Same numbers as everywhere on this site, excluding VAT. Running cost is separate: tens of euros a month for a small site, always with a cap so the bill cannot surprise you.

Six questions for any AI vendor

Not about us. Ask them of everyone, including us — the answers show in ten minutes whether a proposal is built on your process or on a deck.

  1. 01

Was accuracy measured on our files and questions?

"99%" without your data is advertising. Ask for a pilot on your real files or questions and for figures you saw yourself.

  2. 02

Where is the data processed and stored?

Named provider, region, access rules and retention. "In the cloud" is not an answer, and the GDPR question from your own customers arrives sooner than you expect.

  3. 03

What happens when the agent does not know?

A human review queue and a written rule for when a case lands there. An agent that always answers will eventually answer wrongly.

  4. 04

What will it cost to run per month?

Model calls, storage, monitoring — an estimate on your volumes and a cap, so the bill cannot quietly grow tenfold.

  5. 05

Who owns the code, the accounts and the conversation history?

If the agent lives on the vendor's platform under the vendor's accounts, switching vendors means losing everything. Repository and accounts in your name.

  6. 06

Who maintains it when our content or systems change?

Prices change, a supplier changes its invoice layout, accounting switches software — and an agent that worked for a year starts failing. Who notices, and what a fix costs.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before the call.

How much does it cost to build an AI agent?

A website assistant €600–2,500, a customer-service agent with order access and human handover €2,500–6,000, an internal assistant for a team from €6,000. Running cost for a small site is tens of euros a month. All prices exclude VAT and are fixed in writing.

Why build AI agents with a company in Lithuania?

EU entity and EU contract, GDPR by default, models and storage in EU regions, a full working day of overlap with Central Europe, and senior engineering at a fraction of Western European rates. NordaxIT also runs AI invoice extraction in production in its own product, SAFA, so the work is daily practice, not a side project.

Which languages does the agent handle?

English, Lithuanian and the other EU languages current models handle natively — including typos, missing diacritics and colloquial phrasing. What matters more is that it answers on your terms: before launch we test it against 50–100 real customer questions.

How long does it take?

A website assistant 1–3 weeks, a customer-service agent 3–5 weeks, an invoice-extraction pilot 1–2 weeks — counted from an approved scope and access to your systems.

Where is our data stored?

In EU regions, for both model processing and storage. Conversation history and files stay in your own accounts; access and retention follow your policy and are written into the contract.

Can you integrate with our systems?

Yes: WooCommerce, Shopify, CRMs, ERP and accounting systems, Messenger, email — anything with an API or an import format. Each integration is scoped in the audit and included in the fixed price.
